The long is 6 km long. It begins with a steep climb to the top of the canyon which is nicknamed The Cardiac Hill - and it's got that nickname for a reason (particularly at 6 o'clock in the morning). You're not supposed to climb it if you have heart problems as you expose yourself to serious risk as well as a 300-dollar bill for the rescue helicopter.
The rest of the route is pleasant and easy. It follows the Canyon rim around before descending to …. a car park.
The Kings Canyon can be found in the Watarrka National Park or 323 km west from Alice Springs. It's neither as big nor as touristy as the Great Canyon – even still, its walls soar over 100m high and if you suffer from vertigo, you should cross this rather impressive part of the country off your plan.
